The university closed down for a snow day, today. It's a mixed blessing... fun to get an unexpected day off, but I'll pay for it later trying to catch up at work.

Sometimes it's hard to stick with the whole Buddhist "Right Speech" thing. It has been a very strange gardening year. Of course, there was the terrible drought and heat that killed lots of things, including established trees. Kate and I gave up watering the vegetable garden in August. Since the heat broke in October, we've gotten some rain. When Preston was diagnosed with cancer, I wanted to send him and meganwaters2004  something spiritually comforting. My geocaching travel bug has made it to Winnipeg, Canada. It flirted with Vancouver, then went back to Seattle, then bounced around in Utah, then traveled to Minnesota, North Dakota, and finally crossed the border into Canada.
